Princess Cut In America
How popular is the Princess Cut Engagement Ring in America? The jewelry company 1910 recently did a study called “Bling in America” and one of the items they looked at is how popular are different diamond shapes across the country. Surprisingly, in different regions of the country, some shapes are more popular than others…
The map of the United States, below, shows what percentage of diamonds purchased in each region are Princess Cut diamonds. As you can see, princess cut diamonds are most popular in the Southwest and Northeast regions and least popular in North Carolina and Virginia (Atlantic region).
So why do different regions have different preferences in diamond shapes? That’s the unanswered question!
By the way, the study shows that globally, on average, 26% of diamonds purchased are Princess Cut.
